.: Welcome Aboard

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my web site. I spend a lot of time with graphic design, web design, and motion graphics. That also includes 3D work. I have been doing this for about 6 years now and I would like to share my work with all of you on this web site.

I went to school for a couple semesters but I never graduated because I honestly got bored with the pace of learning in a class room. I started watching a lot of tutorials online, until I felt I was ready to take on these projects myself. It all began with Lynda.com. I honestly think that if it wasn't for that site I would not be doing this right now, because I would have missed out on so much information. I then started going from website to website learning about each program I use.

I absolutely love Adobe products. I am a proud expert throughout the entire suite. I also use Cinema 4D for my 3D work. So please take a look at some of my work. There are some projects that are my spin on Andrew Kramer, Nick Campbell, Deke Mclelland and other great designer's work. And of course there will be my own original designs as well. Enjoy.

Chess Animation

I have been wanting to model this for a while. As you can see it's a chess board with a complete set of its pieces. Most pieces were not as difficult as you might think. I opened up picture of each piece on Adobe Illustrator and traced out half of the object. I then brought it into Cinema 4D and used the 3D rotation to create the object. The knight required a little more work because there was a face on it. Finally for all those who have played chess against a lesser oppenent you may be familiar with the 4 move kill. This is what you are seeing in the animation, with a little explosive fun at the end.

Exploding Transition

This is my version of an exploding text transition. I can't take full credit for it, because of two reasons. The first reason is because of the plugin i used in order to break up all of the text. This can be found at nitro4d.com. The second reason is because I watched a tuturial that this was based off of from a great motion designer by the name of Cameron. You can find his site at camotion.net. You will see in this video the cool transition from one word to the next.

Glowing Transition

This is a simple effect put together in After Effects. I can't take credit for this one. Andrew Kramer is where I got the tutorial from on videocopilot.net. However; I felt it necessary to put together my own version. Obviously I changed the wording. Keep in mind that this was not done with real lighting. Sometimes cheating something can give you a similar effect in a lot less time.

NSC Globe

Recently I entered a contest at my job that I will leave unnamed for purposes of this video. It was to help come up with a new logo for the business. I am proud to say that they loved my work and I won with flying colors. After playing around with a few different ideas, I decided it had been long enough since the last time I posted a video, so here is my animated version of the "NSC Globe". I modeled planet and text in Cinema 4D, and did my compositing in After Effects.

Nintendo Controller

OK Gamers, this is a little something that all of you should remember. It has to be the most well known code for video games of all time. For those who still aren't sure, you will understand with thumbnail I included in bottom corner. Controller was modeled in Cinema 4D, and composting was down in After Effects.
